Hi, the fact that Myob automatically uses Default email account in Outlook is totally wrong move. Lets say that we have 5 email account in OUTLOOK, default is FRED@ and the one that I need to use for Invoicing is ADMIN@.   I am sending invoice via MYOB that will automatically use FRED@ in my Outlook. Does that make any sense? NO. It does not. How hard would that be to configure MYOB to be able to set whatever account in my OUTLOOK will be the MYOB account?   I know that your answer is going to be this: You can set default ADMIN@ and when you use OUTLOOK without MYOB, you can choose your account FRED@ manually. This would be very unproductive and very hard to manage.   The reason why you have to make the feature ,, CHOOSE OUTLOOK EMAIL ACCOUNT,, available is that people can use appropriate outlook email account with different email signatures. 99.99% companies have multiple emails.   Please let me know what you think....:-) Have a good day Fred   "Outlook Email Default for MYOB" ... I have had a few requests from people who are professional ebay sellers wanting an accounting package that allows them to get direct feeds from Paypal. I hear that Xero offers this however this is not offered by MYOB. So, I've just discovered that the only way to enter leave taken is to manually type it in when doing a pay run.   Whaaaaaat? Now for a start, manual entry is so inefficient and not what a good -anything- database should reply on for a regular function like entering leave taken. So anyway, getting past the initial jaw-dropping reaction to having to manually enter leave taken, my question is, what happens if an employee asks ahead of time for leave in the future? For instance, John Brown gets approval for leave in November. He needs to ask for it early so he can book his plane tickets. John Brown advises Payroll, and Payroll do...what with it? Keep a note somewhere for that particular pay run in November and make sure they remember to add it then?? The sort of function to enter leave applications at ANY time, and have the system include it in the relevant pay run, should be standard! At the moment, my understanding is that MYOB relies on MAPI to send e'mails and if you are using an e'mail that does not use MAPI API's you have to save reports as, say PDF, and manually send by e'mail.   As a user who chooses not to use Outlook for various reasons, I set up the MAPI settings in Windows Control Panel, but still MYOB does not send my e'mails.   Could someone please explain why MYOB will not allow me to enter my SMTP settings and connect to my mail server with alternative APIs - such as the CDO set?   Supporting only MAPI appears to be very restrictive to users who need to use software other than Outlook and must create more support calls than is necessary - not to mention unhappy users.   Thanks.   "Please can we use SMTP servers to send e'mails from MYOB" ... We have been using Premier for many years beccause of the Mutlicurrency and Inventory/Autobuild features which are very important for a manufacturer. We are using Premier v12. It would be great if you could change the optional tick box of "Report on taxable payments" on the supplier "Card Information" screen to a "yes/no" option instead.    Currently I can't tell which suppliers should not be on the report vs  when one of the staff have forgotten to check the abn and determine if they should or shouldn't be on the list. For example, I had a supplier that should have been ticked but wasn't and when I looked into it, it was because one of the staff just forgot to check it after looking at the abn. These things happen and it's no ones fault, but a "yes/no" option clearly show that it has been looked at. For Mac users who use MYOB AccountRight using a VM with Apple Magic Mouse the precise scrolling ability of Apple's mouse when clicking within a numeric field can allow very easy increasing or decreasing of the amount. This does not happen all the time. Perhaps related to the numeric pad that can be triggered for a field. When it does happen, a simple click in a 0.00 amount field and a slight move of the clicking finger can scroll the amount up or down and cause immediate errors that one has to correct.    "Fix for transaction numeric field scrolling ability" ...
