Thanks for your post. To prevent transactions from being changed or entered you need to lock the period. Go to Setup>>Preferences>>Security tab>>select Lock Period and select the date.

Hi @Zohayr , if I may comment, it has been possible to add, reverse or change transactions in prior years for a while now, which can be very helpful. I've made use of this feature myself.
There is also a new user access setting as part of the Accountant/Bookkeeper role which controls this. If you wish, make sure this is disabled. See the role Accountant/Bookkeeper, General, Transact in closed financial years.
