AccountRight 2019 Comparability with Windows 10

Hi MYOB, I found out last week with no notice from MYOB that you are not longer supporting Windows 7 & Server 2008 after 31/3/20 for AccountRight 2019. I have been talking to our IT Company in regards to updating / upgrading our Workstations to Windows 10 and they have express the following concerns with AccountRight 2019 and encouraging us to move away from the MYOB Product. Please note that we operate AccountRight 2019 as a Network Product not Cloud Base due to the size of our data file and currently no NBN in the area only ADSL. 1. AccountRight 2019 on Windows 10 Operating System the Mail Merge no longer works...is this true and is there a solution to over come this? 2. AccountRight 2019 on Windows 10 Operating System does not work with MS Outlook to email invoices, purchase orders etc.... please advise if this is the case and is there a work around solution??? 3. Is AccountRight 2019 compatible with Office 365 as we are looking at upgrading to Office 365??? If not compatible what is the latest version of office that MYOB is compatible with??? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated before we proceed with upgrading our workstations and if there is anything else we need to know prior to the upgrade that would be great to have this information upfront. As indicated on Windows 7/Windows Server 2008 R2 - End of Support, MYOB will no longer support for products on Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 as at the end of March 2020. This is following on from Microsoft ceasing security updates and extended product support back in mid-January 2020 for those operating systems.

In terms of Windows 10, AccountRight 2019 is supported and tested on a Windows 10 Operating System as per the System Requirements. Although to answer your enquires directly:

1. Microsoft Office integration does work with AccountRight 2019 on Windows 10. Although, you do need to ensure you are using Office 2010 or later and that it is a 32-bit version. Some clients do install/use the 64-bit version of Office and that will cause the integration not to work as intended. Occasionally, you will encounter some errors with the system and typically, a reinstall of Office will correct the majority of those.
   
   
2. Similar to point 1. AccountRight 2019 will work with Outlook on a Windows 10 environment. Although, a 32-bit version is required.
   
   
3. Yes and no. With Office 365 there are two "modes" you have the applications in; locally or online. AccountRight will only work interact with the local version i.e. you need to have the local version of the product installed in order to integrate. The online "mode" will not integrate.

My advice if you are needing to upgrade and do have some concerns is look at seeing if you can upgrade one maybe two workstations first. Ensure they are working and you are happy before moving across to do the others.
