Capturing opening balances for LSL

Hi Guys,

We have tried to capture prior year long service leave balance via the 1st method shown on the help site.  That is a physical adjustment of the balance under the employees entitlements tab.  While it seems to work, when you go back in the value has been replicated in the 'carry over' col as a negative value thus negating the entry.

This is only evident when you leave the employees page and go back into it.

We are now using the 2nd method of creating a payrun which is working.  This puts it in the YTD col.

Appreciate any feed back as to why the 1st method didn't work.

TIA,

Charles

Re: Capturing opening balances for LSL

Hi @Ndabasita

Thanks for your post. We are aware that for some clients adding an amount in the Balance Adjustment column is resulting in a negative amount in the Carry Over column. This is being looked into. In this situation we do recommend exactly what you have done, which is to process a $0 pay to adjust the entitlement.

Please let me know if you need further help.
