Error Log after failed upgrade to 2021.1

Hi ,

 

I'm unable to open AccountRight 2021.1 after attempting to upgrade. 

 

Here's  the error log:

Hi @BedrockCK 

 

Sorry that you are experiencing this. That error looks like an SQL error, I would recommend ensuring that your file is stored in the cloud or in a suitable library location. Also make sure you have full access to that folder location in Windows. If that doesn't fix the issue you may need to do a Microsoft SQL Server compact reinstall.

Hi Tracey,

 

I checked the Library, my file is in the right place. I reinstalled Windows SQL. 

Still not working.  I looked in the Services and found that MYOB AccountRight Server 20XX.X doesn't appear, could that have something to do with the problem?

Hi Sylvie

 

Thanks for trying those steps for me. Are you accessing the file directly on the server or through a network? Are you able to open the Clearwater file? Are you able to open the AccountRight application? Do you get an error when you try to open the company file? It may be worthwhile getting your IT person to check the directory and make sure AccountRight can reach the file.

The file is in my Library on my desktop. I can open it and MYOB asks to upgrade it, I click on yes, then it brings on the error message.  It doesn't seem to update.

Can you please post a screenshot of the error message window (not the error log) so I can see if that narrows it down. 

 

Can you also send me the following information by private message:

 

  • serial number
  • business name
  • primary email address
  • primary contact name
  • primary contact name
