Hi @Tropical1

Thanks for the post. The help article, Print or export employee details, has detailed information and instructions to assist with this.

Please let me know if you need further help.

Kind regards,

Re: Exporting only active employee card to new accounting file

Hi

This lead does not tell me how to export active employees cards only there is nothing in the available fields section to do this when we want to export. Recently exported all employee card files into Excel.  Do i need to delete inactive cards in Excel and import only active cards file into new AR MYOB file.

Hi @Tropical1

Yes, export all employee cards as this is the only option in MYOB. Then in excel sort by the Active indicator (exact column name varies depending on MYOB version) and remove inactive ones. Take care when using excel as it drops leading zeroes from phone numbers etc unless you are careful to set these columns to text. You also need to preserve the blank line when sorting.

Re: Exporting only active employee card to new accounting file

Hi @Tropical1

I see you are using the browser version - here you are at the mercy of MYOB developers - no way of knowing if this function is complete or if it works properly. All my experience has been with the desktop application to import to cloud file.

Having said that, your import CSV is a CSV file however you seem to have added a 1st row with column numbers - this needs to be deleted. You have also left 50 or so lines of data for no card name - you seem to have some data in row 60. If importing for 5 employees, remove the entire row for all entries below. Scroll right to the end (column ec).

Gavin
