I continue to get an error (0x80070643 - fatal error during installation) when installing 2020.3 update whilst running Windows 7. Is there anyway you can operate on Windows 7 or will I have to upgrade to Windows 10? Thank you.

Hi @Sand3977,
Thank you for your post. If you've downloaded the install file and are receiving this error, install AccountRight by right-clicking the installation file and choosing Run as administrator.
If the error persists, it means there's some Windows updates that need to be installed on your computer.
Here's what to do:
Click to check for available Windows updates.
Select all 'Important' updates.
Select all 'Optional' updates which refer to .NET Framework.
Install the selected updates.
If prompted, restart your computer.
You should then be able to install AccountRight,
Please note: Microsoft Windows 7 (SP1, 32-bit or 64-bit) and Windows Server 2008 (R2 SP1, 32-bit or 64-bit) as a file server or workstation are not supported.

Hi Melisa
I have been able to run an update and I still get the same error.
Our IT department advised me that Windows 7 is no longer supports these MYOB update is this correct as I have been able to update it on my laptop which runs Windows 10 but not my desktop which runs Windows 7?

If you're still unable to install after troubleshooting above I would recommend getting your IT to install windows 10 for you as Microsoft Windows 7 (SP1, 32-bit or 64-bit) and Windows Server 2008 (R2 SP1, 32-bit or 64-bit) as a file server or workstation are not supported for the latest version of AccountRight.
