Headings not printing

When i run any reports, the heading show on the report, however when printed they are not there. No one else in the office has this problem with the reports, so I dont know where in the settings that mine might be set up differently.

Re: Headings not printing

Hi @Sonya_brisbane,

Thank you for the post!

That's interesting!  Did you try clearing the AccountRight Cache and restarting your AccountRight and see how it goes. If still the problem persists please do send me a screenshot of the report by removing sensitive information in it.

Thank you.

Cheers,
Gayathri

Re: Headings not printing

Hi @Sonya_brisbane,

Thank you for the post!

I would recommend trying the same task in clear water and see what happens. Could you try performing a clean reinstallation of your AccountRight 20xx.

Task 1 - Stop all AccountRight services

To ensure all AccountRight components uninstall and reinstall successfully, we recommend manually stopping the AccountRight services. These services start automatically when Windows starts, so they will most likely be running when you're trying to uninstall. This is how you stop them:

  1. Close AccountRight.
  2. Simultaneously press the Windows Image and R keys on your keyboard (the Windows Image key is between the Ctrl and Alt keys). The Run window appears.
  3. Type services.msc then click OK.

    Image

    The Services window appears.
  4. In the list of services, scroll down and locate the following services:

    MYOB AccountRight Library
MYOB AccountRight Server 20XX.X (where 20XX.X refers to the AccountRight version you're uninstalling)
    MYOB AccountRight Server Locator

See our example below for AccountRight 2013.3:

    Image
  5. Right-click each of these MYOB services (one at a time) and choose Stop.

    Image

The service will stop and the Status column will be blank.
  6. Repeat for each of the MYOB services. The Status column for each of these services should now be blank, meaning these services are now stopped.

Task 2 - Disable antivirus, firewall and backup programs

Antivirus software is designed to identify files on your computer that shouldn't be there. But sometimes antivirus software incorrectly identifies your AccountRight software, or your company file, as being suspicious. The same may happen with firewall programs. This can result in parts of the AccountRight software get skipped or don't install properly.

Automatic backup programs constantly read and write information on your computer which can also interfere with AccountRight installations.

To prevent this occurring, you should temporarily disable these programs before installing AccountRight. After AccountRight has been successfully installed, you can enable these programs again.

Typically, programs like this can be disabled by right-clicking their icon in your computer's "system tray" (next to the clock in the bottom-right corner of your Desktop).

If you're prompted to specify how long you want to disable the program, we recommend at least 30 minutes. This should be plenty of time to reinstall your AccountRight software before your antivirus, firewall and/or backup program can be turned back on.

For more information about how to disable your antivirus, firewall, or backup program, refer to the documentation that came with the program, or you can search on Google. Here are links to information on disabling some of the more popular programs:

Norton

AVG

McAfee

Bitdefender

Task 3 - Uninstall AccountRight

These steps provide the simplest and most thorough way to uninstall AccountRight.

  1. Close all programs on your computer.
  2. Open your list of installed programs.

Windows 8: Right-click in the screen's bottom-left corner and choose Programs and Features.

Windows 7/Vista: Click the Windows Start button and choose Control Panel then choose Programs and Features.

    Windows XP:
Click the Windows Start button and choose Add/Remove Programs.
  3. Click the MYOB software to be uninstalled then click Uninstall. In some Windows versions this may appear as Change/Uninstall.
  4. If a confirmation message is displayed, click Yes.
  5. If the Setup window is displayed, select the Remove option then click Next.

    Image
  6. A window will be displayed asking if you want to completely remove the selected application and all of its components. Click Yes.
  7. Click Finish once the uninstall process is complete.

  8. If prompted to do so, restart your computer.

Task 4 - Uninstall associated components

There are some Microsoft components on your computer which AccountRight uses. If these components aren't working as they should, AccountRight won't function properly. Therefore, before you can reinstall AccountRight, you need to uninstall these Microsoft components. But don't worry, these Microsoft components will be reinstalled when you reinstall AccountRight. Note that not all of the components listed below may be installed on your computer.

  3. Uninstall each of the following Microsoft components:

Note: If one of the components below isn't installed on your computer, move to the next component.

Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP2 ENU
Microsoft Chart Controls for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
    Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
    Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Extended
Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile
Microsoft SQL Server Compact 4.0 SP1 ENU
Microsoft Sync Framework 2.1 Core Components
Microsoft Sync Framework 2.1 Database Providers

    To uninstall a component:

    1. Click the Microsoft component then click Uninstall. In some Windows versions this may appear as Change/Uninstall.

    2. If a confirmation message is displayed, click Yes.
  4. Repeat step 3 as many times as necessary to remove all the Microsoft components listed above.
  5. Restart your computer.

Task 5 - Delete the AccountRight program folders

This task requires you to remove 2 folders which may contain incomplete or corrupt components which can cause installation issues. When AccountRight is reinstalled in the next task, these folders will be recreated with the necessary components intact.

  1. Simultaneously press the Windows Image and E keys on your keyboard (the Windows Image key is between the Ctrl and Alt keys). The Computer or Windows Explorer window appears.

  2. Navigate to the AccountRight folder.

On 64-bit version of Windows*, navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\MYOB\AccountRight.

On 32-bit version of Windows*, navigate to C:\Program Files\MYOB\AccountRight.

*Not sure if you're using 32- or 64-bit Windows? Simultaneously press the Windows and Pause keys on your keyboard. The displayed window includes information on whether the Windows version is 32- or 64-bit.

  3. Delete the Servers folder and the folder for the AccountRight version you're reinstalling, e.g. 2013.2. To do this, right-click each folder in turn and choose Delete. At the confirmation prompt, click Yes.

Note: If one or both of these folders are not visible, proceed to Task 7.

Task 6 - Reinstall AccountRight

These steps provide the simplest and most reliable way to install AccountRight.

  1. Close all programs.
  2. Locate the AccountRight installation file.
  3. Install AccountRight

Thank you.

Cheers,
Gayathri
