i recently upgraded to 18.1 and when i try to upgrade one of my company files i get a message that myob must close and i am unable to acess the comany file

Are you able to clarify a couple of things so that we can get this resolved for you?
Is this an AccountRight v19 file you are trying to upgrade or an older AccountRight 201X file?
What is the exact wording of the error message? If you are getting the error somethings gone wrong and AccountRight needs to close, are you able to post the error log which is accessible through the View Error Details link in the bottom left hand corner of the error message.
If you have access to another computer with AccountRight 2018.1 on it, are you able to try copying the file your trying to upgrade onto that computer and trying to upgrade it on that computer to see if you experience the same error?
