Need access to an old Back-Up file

Hello

I need to access a MYOB AccountRight file that is dated 2009.

I have extracted the file and attempted to upgrade it to the only AccountRight I have on my desktop which is version 19.15 plus.

This has not worked and I get the message as presented in the attached file.

Is there some way to access this 2009 file? If you can help please let me know what further data, if any, you require.

Thank you

Michelle

Re: Need access to an old Back-Up file

Hi @MichelleS_ECO

Looks like the file is from Premier v18.5.

This error message is caused by bugs in certain versions of MYOB (namely v19.13 and later). Suggest you download v19.12 from here. This should upgrade the old premier files. Or better still download Premier v18.5 from same link (bottom of page under Other), this should restore and open without need to upgrade.

Regards

Gavin

Re: Need access to an old Back-Up file

Hi @MichelleS_ECO

Thank you for your post and supplied screenshots, that was very helpful.

The file is upgraded and saved in the new versions folder or the file to which you have specified. In saying that, try opening the new created .myo from the saved location and the file should open for you.

Please let me know how you get on, and if you require further assitance.

Kind regards,
Jesh
