Negative Inventory - preventing upgrade from V19 to ARL

Hi MYOB,

 

I can’t upgrade a file from V19 to ARL Live as there was negative inventory.

 

I did an inventory adjustment to bring all the inventory back to Zero.

 

According to the item registrater after I made adjustment there is NO negative inventory now. 

 

Before I try and upgrade I have to turn off the preference.  However I can’t as I get this error message?

Any ideas what might be preventing me from turning this off?

Hi @Steven_M 

 

I think this file needs to go in to the data repair team to help upgrade as well.   Unfortuntely I was hoping this one would upgrade nicely however not the case.   I am due out onsite on Monday for set up and training on ARL.   Can you please send me a data repair request and escalate to urgent please as customer will not be able operate until I get it upgraded.   I will send you a private message with serial number.

Hi @CloudMindAcc 

 

Typically, to turn off negative inventory in a company file you would need to go to Setup>>Preferences>>Inventory and deselect Allow the Sale of Items with Insufficient On-Hand Quantities. If you are encountering a message as you have indicated in your Forum post, we would recommend running the Item List [Summary] report and look for negative units of hand and total values.

 

If you do have negative values in that report these would need to be addressed, generally by an inventory adjustment value to bring the stock values to a positive number before that preference can be disabled.


If you don't have negative values in that Item List [Summary] report, we would need a copy of that report to investigate further.

I have reviewed all the inventory and can't see any issues with negatives and yet still can't remove the tick which is preventing me from upgrading.   I have private messaged you the Item List Summary Report. 

 

I think this needs to go to data repair client is waiting on upgrade
