I hope you receive a response from MYOB (and ideally a solution, which only MYOB can provide - that is, as you stated in your post 'Please fix your software')

Thanks @gavin12345 for the reply and link to the post.

Have spent many hours on the phone with MYOB last week regarding the error and it was not mentioned once.
We are getting the error 4-5 times a day on all workstations.  Each time we need to close and restart it takes about 4-5 minutes for us to get back what we were doing.

Not good if we are in the middle of a counter sale and have customers waiting.

I think it is fair to say that parts of MYOB are in a state of denial when it comes to Performance Issues and the System.OutOfMemoryExceptions and a few other specific error messages. Some staff take the attitude that there can't be anything wrong 'with our software as it functions well using the Clearwater sample file, so any such problems are caused by something at your end'.

 

It is only in the past few months that MYOB have acknowledged there might be an issue with how AR2018 interacts with larger company files. Interestingly this timeframe coincides with many large users being forced to upgrade to AR2018 due to STP - meaning the number of such complaints increased dramatically. They have apparently started a project to look into what might be causing these issues. Hopefully they will some find and fix at least some of the areas, reporting for example, where even a clearwater sample file can trigger the error.
