Problem with upgrading company file to 2019.2

Hi, I see similar posts but without any definitive answers. We have upgraded to AR 2019.2 but when trying to open the company file we seem to just be stuck in a loop where it says company file is currently being upgraded.

We left it overnight and still get same message when trying to open...

(We are also required to keep entering credential even when selecting trust this device?)

Are you able to reset company file on your end?

Thanks

Hi @jlpierce

I've reset that company file back to Active for you and run the necessary script over the file. Can you try that upgrade process again of that file now - would recommend closing down and reopening the program first.

Do let us know how you get on and if you require further assistance.

Kind regards,
Steven

Hi Steven,

I am currently waiting on the help line for level 2. 1 hour 25 and counting of really bad music.

Have to get some invoices out and do payroll.

Can you sort this so I can get back to work please?

Re: Problem with upgrading company file to 2019.2

Hi @Maddison

Sorry to hear that you have had trouble contacting the team to get that situation resolved. From what I can see the company file has been reset back to Active and looks like it has upgraded as intended following that.

If you do require further assistance don't hesitate to get in touch.

Kind regards,
Steven

Re: Problem with upgrading company file to 2019.2

Ok so I am also having issues upgradeing the company file. I have run everything I have been told to run rolling the financial year optimising and verifying etc. Nothing seems to work as it still tells me that it cant upgrade as it has multi currancy transactions that are not supported but the client says this is not the case. I have talked to support 3 times now and still no luck. Its driving me a little crazy as I sent the file up and you did a repair on it as it had some issues. But I still have not been able to upgrade it.

The program does not tell me what is not supported and if we knew maybe we can fix it. There is no negative stock and they are doing the transactions correctly. I am very much at a loss now.

Any help would be great steven.

Re: Problem with upgrading company file to 2019.2

Hi MYOB Experts,

I started to do this from last Thursday. I installed the AR2019.2, and uplaoding my company file accordingly.

I have tried 5 times! After each failure, I called the technical suppoet team, and it suppose to be ok for the next try. But after the uplading 100% completed, came with "something went wrong"......

Can you help the resovle this problem ?

Regards,

Sharon Zhou

Re: Problem with upgrading company file to 2019.2

Hi @Jarrad_S

Make sure you are upgrading the file ONLINE (i.e. straight to online services)?

This support note might help you sort out what the issues are:

http://help.myob.com/wiki/display/ar/Upgrade+a+Premier+multi-currency+company+file

Export out your accounts list and double check there is no foreign currency accounts other than trade creditors, trade debtors, bank and credit card accounts.

Check there are no foreign transactions using the professional, time billing or miscellaneous layout.  Export out these layouts for both sales and purchases (if you locate any in these formats change to service layout if you can).

Hopefully, some of what is provided above is helpful?
