A client is still using V18 and is not interested in upgrading or going online. We have received a USB with their backup file. Usually I restore this into 'a library on our network' so that we can view the file and access relevant reports. We do not make any changes to the file.
This year when I try to restore the file it is telling me that the file will be put online. On the Restore a company file screen I am unable to enter a Company File name (it is greyed out) and the box for 'in a library on my computer or on my network' is checked. However the next screen indicates that the file will be upgraded and put online. If I follow through with the process does that mean that the file will be put online and that either we or the client will be charged a fee?

Hi @Sandra_P,
Thanks for reaching out.
I understand how important it is that the file is restored locally for the data to be checked. Generally, even if the file we are trying to restore is on an older version of AccountRight, the process should be the same as the newer versions. I would suggest restarting your computer, clearing the computer cache, and redoing the restore backup process again. If the issues persist. may I ask for screenshots of the process of restoring the file?
Let us know if you require any further assistance with this. We're happy to help.
Cheers,

Hi @Sandra_P,
Thanks for the response and the screenshot you've sent so far.
In the second screenshot, in the get ready tab, you can click the blue "Don't have an internet connection?" button. After which you could follow the prompts, and this would upgrade your file offline.
Let us know if you encounter any more issues while working on this. We'll help further.
Cheers,
Genreve
