Restoring a back file offline

I've installed MYOB 2019.3 Server Edition on my local PC. When I try to restore a backup file I get the message "The connection to the server was lost". There is no connection to the server because the file is offline.  Can anyone help?

Re: Restoring a back file offline

Hi @MP44

This normally happens if the library location does not have hidden .restores folder that is required to perform the restore operation successfully. Therefore, please check the library location : C:\Users\Public\Documents\MYOB\My AccountRight Files  for hidden .restores folder.

If there is no such folder, you would have to recreate it by following the instructions on Error: Windows shared folder can't be created and once the folder is created, you can start restoring the files locally.

Please let me know how you go on.

Kind regards,
Komal

Can't access the link. It requires a Microsoft login which I don't have.

Re: Restoring a back file offline

Have now accessed the instructions a different way and created the .restores folder.

It works, thanks!
