Restoring a repaired file locally

Morning,

We have just had our MYOB file repaired and I need to restore the repaired file locally to test it before MYOB repair our online file.

We have 3 people who log in under the same username, do I need to ensure no one else is using the company file while I restore the repaired file locally and review it?

Thank-you

Tina Lewis

Re: Restoring a repaired file locally

HI @Proline

When you restore a backup locally this restored backup will be a separate instance of the file from the file that the backup was taken from. Additionally if the backup is restored locally then only the people on that computer will be able to view and access the file. You wouldn’t need to stop other users from using the main instance of the file while restoring and accessing the backup file.

For more information on restoring the file locally, I recommend having a look at our help article Restore your company file. To help avoid confusion I recommend giving the restored backup a unique name

Regards,
Neil
