URGENT HELP PLEASE: Migration Log Enterprize to AR Live

Hi there

I have upgraded a file on my desktop to test I can bring it down from Enterprise V19 to AR Live.

Successful downgrade/upgrade, however, a migration log with hundreds of these errors.   Can you please advise what these mean?  Is it something to do with recurring transactions as I recall having an issue with this before where transaction lines had a blank line with no account number?

Please advise as I am onsite tomorrow and need to know what this error log is?

Re: URGENT HELP PLEASE: Migration Log Enterprize to AR Live

Hi @BooksInTheCloud

Generally, the migration warning: No Event Lines available for BusinessID are caused by partially purged transactions in the database. I have seen some clients optimise the file before migrating to clear out some of those migrate warnings but it is very rare. Typically, these are nothing to worry about with that message and the company file will migrate successfully.

If it does not migrate successfully the last migration warning in that report is what we would need to have a look at

Kind regards,
Steven

Re: URGENT HELP PLEASE: Migration Log Enterprize to AR Live

Hi Steven,

Thank you for your super fast response.

Ok, that makes sense now as I have just upgraded locally to test.   When I do it with the REAL file I will upgrade straight to online as I believe the migration tool if upgrading straight to online Optimises the file automatically.

Is this correct?

Thanks

Renae

Hi @BooksInTheCloud

The migrator, be it to upgrade a file locally or online, will only verify the company file, not optimise and verify the file.

Kind regards,
Steven

Re: URGENT HELP PLEASE: Migration Log Enterprize to AR Live

Thanks Steven good to know.    I think it is a good idea to optimise the data file first in V19 before upgrading.  I am also purging old closed transactions as well going back to 2011 as this will impact the size of the file and how well it will run on AR Live.
