If your company file is stored online, one thing that you can try is to check the file out by going to File >> Check Out. This downloads a copy of the file onto your computer, which will allow you to open and back the file up by going to File >> Backup
The file can be returned to the online state by going to File >> Check In, which uploads the checked out file back online bringing any changes made to the file with it
when I go to File, I do not see Check Out.
The version I use is 2013.5.15.9262.
If this is a local file then that can be indicative that the Windows services for AccountRight are having issues on the computer hosting the file. I recommend following steps 2 and 3 of our help article AccountRight library service issues, which deal with checking and adjusting the Windows services for AccountRight.
