We have re-installed MYOB AccounRight in a cloud environment. I am unable to export reports to excel and am getting the following error message:
Can you please assist.
Solved! Go to Solution.
This is looking for an XLT file to bring the information across to, that message means that it can't find the file that's needed for the export.
This can be fixed in 1 of 2 ways:
1. Copy the .XLT files from the previous version and paste it in the current versions folder:
This is done by going to: C:\Users\Public\Documents\MYOB\AccountRight\, then opening 2018.2 or older then the Spreadsheet folder and copy the contents here then go to the location specified and paste these there.
2. Reinstall AccountRight to put these files back in:
This is done by uninstalling the current software, then reinstalling. This should then put the files back in. Note that if there is any security software interfering with the installation then this could explain why the XLT files aren't showing up.

cannot export into excel only recently as I worked in december but suddenly it is not working I have unstalled myob and reinstalled and repaired excel 365
Generally speaking an error like that means that either Excel hasn’t installed correctly or the Windows registry entry for Excel is incorrect and preventing the information from exporting out of AccountRight.
If you have reinstalled a compatible version of Excel locally on that computer then that would indicate the issue lies with the Windows Registry. As the Windows Registry is the brains of the computer, I recommend seeking some independent IT advice on how to edit the Windows Registry
