Updating to version 2018.3 error 1603 "Fatal error during installation"

Hi,

 

I was just trying to update our MYOB on our Termional (RDP) server from 2018.2.1 to 2018.3 and right at the end of the process I get an error 1603 (see attached file).

 

I've tried running as Administrator (even though the user is already a Domain Admin).

 

In the Application Event log I also see this error...

Product: MYOB AccountRight Sample Files 2018.3 -- Error 1317. An error occurred while attempting to create the directory: D:\Finances\Company Files

 

My user has access to this directory also.

 

I didnt have any issues installing 2018.2 the other month.

 

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum, I hope you find it a great resource

 

In some cases, the AccountRight Server Edition will have issues when being installed on a terminal server where the Windows Installer RDS Compatibility has been enabled. As this is enabled by default your IT professional or network administer will need to disable it first before running the AccountRight SE installer
