Upgraded from accountright 2019.3 to 2019.4

Hi

 

Using accountright 2019.4 - trying to open report - general ledger summary (for a date range) and it just keeps timing out on all three workstations we have the software installed. (One has the SE version)

 

Help (Finance day and GP pay day not the day for this to happen :/)

2019.4 timing out when trying to display general ledger summary report - Help

Hi 

 

Second post as not getting through on phone..........

 

Help please trying to display/print general ledger summary and keeps timing out on all workstations with MYOB.

Hi @Aberdeen 

 

Generally, timeouts occur when the system is trying to pull an amount of data and its unable to pull that data within the time period. 

 

Within some cases, adding a timeout extender to the application will allow for the report to be run.  In other cases, you would be looking at running the report for a lesser date range or lesser number of accounts (perhaps splitting those accounts into two reports). This way the report has to pull less data and thus has a higher chance of pulling that required information.

Thank you for your reply.

 

I have firstly tried to shorten the dates and also the number of accounts - so lowering the amount of data. Still no joy. Get to click on Display and it still times out. Tried using and account I know has a zero balance. Still timing out.

Hi @Aberdeen 


If the company file stored online? If so, try checking it out as per Help Article: Work offline (checking out and checking in)

 

If the file is already stored locally, you mentioned that you are using the Server Edition are you accessing the company file on the host machine or through a network library? I would recommend trying to see if you are encountering that same message on the host machine i.e. the Server.

Hi Steven

 

Thank you it is a locally kept file and yes including the server all three workstations time out.

 

On calling I have been informed that this is an issue in 2019.4 upgrade for local files only. As we also have an online file we have checked and encounter no timing out issues.

 

We have uninstalled and reinstalled and completed all of the usual troubleshooting. Support confirmed known issues with this version.
