Re: restore/upgrade company file is wrong after upgrade to 2022

Hi Yanike,

it's solved and data was back. the Actual issue was faulty backup files. MYOB backup files after 5/5/22 was the same and none of new works was saved into backup files.

there is a shared folder on the server "D:\shared\MYOB DATA" that is supposed to have all MYOB compamy file and backup files as it's used in "set Library location SE"  but the correct company file was found on "C:\Users\Public\Documents\MYOB\My AccountRight Files".

how can I get rid of confliction of the company file locations?

Thanks,

Gol

Re: restore/upgrade company file is wrong after upgrade to 2022

Hi @Mad-IT

The location where your backup files are saved is defaulted to the last saved/selected location. If you want to save the backups again in D:\shared\MYOB DATA, you will have to select this as the location to save the backup and it should retain that information for the next backup.

If it is still saving in C:\Users\Public\Documents\MYOB\My AccountRight Files, I would recommend clearing the AccountRight cache as this could solve odd software behaviour like this.

Kind regards,
Yanike

Re: restore/upgrade company file is wrong after upgrade to 2022

Hi Yanike,

Thanks for the reply.

the confliction was not the destination location, it was regarding to the source location of Company File

MYOB had openned file from "C:\Users\Public\Documents\MYOB\My AccountRight Files" but got a backup of the company file located on "D:\shared\MYOB DATA" !

That means a MYOB client user every time got a backup on the right location : "D:\shared\MYOB DATA\Backup" but not from openned company file.

it was absolutly faulty backup process in MYOB.

Thanks,

Gol

Hi @Mad-IT

The destination location where your backup files are saved is defaulted to the last saved/selected location. If you want to save the backups again in D:\shared\MYOB DATA, you will have to select this as the location to save the backup and it should retain that information for the next backup.

If you've installed the AccountRight Server Edition, the default AccountRight library location is a folder called My AccountRight Files in C:\Users\Public\Documents\MYOB. You can change this location if you want to. Read more about that here: Manage libraries.

Kind regards,
Yanike
