I've been trying to import sales which have a discount on them without success, usually getting either
Error -25 Invalid amount
or
Error -4344 An unbalanced transaction may not be recorded
I thought perhaps I should export a transaction and try and model my import data on that, so I exported this simple dummy transaction:
{} Invoice No. Co./Last Name Date Shipping Date Inclusive Item Number Description Quantity Price Total Tax Amount Tax Code Discount 9999 Credit Card Sales 2/07/2020 2/07/2020 X 59 2016 Pinot Noir 1.000000 $10.0000 $9.00 $.90 GST 10%
To my surprise, I couldn't even re-import this transaction, getting an Error 25 again:
Summary of errors Error -25: Invalid amount. -25 9999 29 2/07/2020 2/07/2020 X 16 2016 Pinot Noir 1.000000 10.0000 9.0000 0.9000 1 10.0000
Can someone please explain what I am doing wrong?
I'm running AccountRight 2020.2.2

Hi @Nick_F , try removing the % sign on the discount.

@Mike_Jamesthat did indeed fix it! I can't believe MYOB would export a file they couldn't then re-import, but great to see it's such a simple fix.
Thanks,
