Credit Limit or On Hold issue

Hi,

When I want to place a customer on hold I check the "Place this customer on hold" box & click OK. However when I open the customer's file it is not on hold & when go back to look at the box it is unchecked.

How I do fix this?

Thank you

Re: Credit Limit or On Hold issue

Two things to check

1) When you select "Place this Customer on Hold" you need to select OK twice. Once to exit that dialog box, at which time the card will say in red that the customer is on hold, and then once to exit the Customer Card. If you select OK the first time and then Cancel to exit the card, the changes will not be saved.

2) Make sure that you are assigned a role that allows you to change that status.

If you are sure of both of these and still have the same behaviour, please re-post

Re: Credit Limit or On Hold issue

Hi Murray,

Firstly, thank you for your quick response.

I believe your solution is the correct one, the problem is that when I open the card & right click to get to the credit limit or hold action a dialog box appears stating "Somethings gone wrong and AccountRight needs to close". An email to MYOB Support has been sent about this error.

I then tried to use the action by right clicking on the customer from the card list but your response explains why this didn't work as I can only click OK once. I'll just have to wait for MYOB Support to contact me about how to fix the error.

Once again thank you for your help.

Re: Credit Limit or On Hold issue

Interesting behaviour - I just followed your workflow and got exactly the same result.

Instead of right clicking try opening the Card, clicking on the Selling Details tab and then selecting the Credit Limit & Hold button down the bottom left. Hopefully you'll be successful with this alternate workflow

Re: Credit Limit or On Hold issue

Hi @dinky

Just testing in my AccountRight 2017.1 when selecting to right click on a card and going to Card Actions>>Edit Credit Limit & Hold I got the same error as yourself (see below). As such I have reported that to the team to investigate further.

Code:
System.NullReferenceException

Message:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

However, I was able to go to the Selling Detials tab>>Edit Credit Limit & hold option (bottom right) and adjust the details correctly. Would you mind testing that yourself and let us know how you get on?

Kind regards,
Steven

Going to "Selling Detials tab>>Edit Credit Limit & hold option" worked.

Thanks again for your help.
