Delete multiple inventory items

How do I delete multiple items from inventory? My business has changed and I have thousands of items that I need to delete, I don't want to make them inactive as I know this will keep MYOB slow due to it's out of date database system.

These are items that haven't had a sale against them for years, please do not tell me I have to delete them one by one!!!

Hi @stickerart, a third party provides a service for myox files that may assist you: <link removed>. All references to selected items are replaced with reference to a replacement item, and then the others are deleted. 

They also provide a similar service for v19.x files, where items can be actually deleted. <Link removed>

This seems dodgy having to send your company file to them and having to pay for the service for them to delete the items. 

Isn't there a easy way to do this within MYOB?

Hi @stickerart, if there was an easy way to do this in the program I would have told you. The 3rd party is very capable and reliable, I have used them directly on several occasions, and referred others to them.

Hi Mike, thanks for the sugesstion but it is not a solution for me. Nothing is easy with MYOB!

I finally found a solution! I moved to Xero!!

After using MYOB for 15 years, it have become horrible software and small business unfriendly.
