Edit a bill after it has been paid

I am using the 2019.2, and I can no longer edit a bill after I have paid it.  I want to add a job # and it won't allow me.  I used to be able to do this in the older version.  I am concerned at the number of features we are losing as MYOB so called progresses!!

Hi there,

 

You can actually edit a bill after it has been paid.

You can go to the close bills tab in purchase register under the purchase tab in the command centre, select the customer card and narrow it down by the date and then click on the blue arrow and then add a job into the job category.

Hi @Tourism 

 

@PAL1 is spot on you can update a bill that has been paid. There are a few circumstances that you wouldn't be able to update that bill:

 

  • Setup>>Preferences>>Security - Transactions can't be changed they must be reversed is enabled
  • The transaction is recorded in a previous financial year
  • Your user access restricts access to the Purchase or only grants read-only mode.

Note: This is the same as AccountRight Classic, there has been no change with the ability to update a transaction.
