Electronic payment auto memos missing

Hi MYOB

A client has reported an odd intermittent fault - missing memo on electronic payment entries

I have attached a screen shot - it started after Jul 20 - they are online and on Std 2020.2.2

Re: Electronic payment auto memos missing

Hi @The_Doc

This is not something that I have seen with the AccountRight 2020.2 product range.  Ideally, depending on the preferences I would expect to see either the payee of the transaction or the memo of that transaction.

Without seeing a copy of one individual transaction it is hard to determine the cause of that. Based on what I can currently see it would imply that the memo field is blank on that transaction thus is not appearing in the Reconcile Accounts window.

Also, know what you have set for Setup>>Preferences>>Banking - Display Payee, Rather Than Memo, in Register and Reports would aid in the investigation as this would also impact how those transactions display in that window.

Kind regards,
Steven

Re: Electronic payment auto memos missing

Hi Steven

Thank you for your reply - this client is a most pedantic user and seldom if ever goes anywhere near preferences - leaving that to me.

But I do note that preference is unticked and reviewing previous entries it suggests that was previously on - should be on - but now isn't.

A mystery - I wonder if the previous update unticked this - hmm - I have reselected and advised the owner of the cause - and will accept this as a likely solution. Thank you.

Regards
