I have MYOB AccountRight. I was wondering how I can export all the emails from my Customer contact list into Excel so that I can do Mass emailouts ? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Export Email addresses to Excel file

Hi @ChrisAqua

You can do it a few ways.

The way I would do it is going to File>>Import/Export Data>>Export Data>>Cards - Customers>>Tabs or Comma>>Select the desired Addr Email field you wish to email (i.e. Addr 1 - Email) before selecting Add> then Export. This will generate a txt file that you can open in Excel. Help Article: Exporting data goes through the export process if you require further assistance.

Another method would be to customise the Card List window by adding that column to that field. Once that field has been included copy that information to the clipboard before pasting into Excel.

Kind regards,
Steven

Re: Export Email addresses to Excel file

Thank-you for your reply.

I tried the below but found that it exported everyone from my cards list.

is there a way to only export the active customer list and not everybody?

Re: Export Email addresses to Excel file

Hi @ChrisAqua

The export process will export all the customer cards within the process. If you only wanted a list of the active customers, you would be looking at adding the Inactive field to that export. Once exported, you would go into Excel or a similar application filter the list to remove the inactivate ones or only retain the current ones.

Kind regards,
Steven

Re: Export Email addresses to Excel file

Hi Steven,

I'm having the same issue. I tried to follow the steps you have given but I couldn't click the Import/Export option under File.

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Smiley Happy

Re: Export Email addresses to Excel file

Hi @tesatcw

Generally, "Import/export assistant" would be greyed out if you do not have the required user access to import or export data out of file.

If you are an Administrator on the data file, you would have the access to all the roles by default. If not, you would have to get the Administrator to grant the access to you or import/export the data themselves. You can find detailed information on managgin user roles on Default user roles help article.

Kind regards,
Komal
