How to delete payment of a Purchase Order that has been transferred to Bill

Hello,

I have paid a PO through a wrong bank account, then I made the Order to Bill. Then I realised I made a mistake and now I cannot delete this transaction.

When I go to Delete payment it keeps giving me the following message "You may not delete a deposit transaction for a recorded purchase".

So, I went through the help file as well as this forum and I was not able to find any solution.

I wonder why MyOB didn't explain how to reverse PO payment as I am sure this is common mistake.

I hope someone will reply to me soon. I waited 20 minutes on the support line just to be told that I need to wait another half an hour. Very frustrating by the MyOB support, indeed!

Thank you

Best regards

Elly

Re: How to delete payment of a Purchase Order that has been transferred to Bill

Hi @etomova,

Welcome to the community forum and I hope you find this more resourceful in solving the issues. Sorry to hear that you could not get help with our phone-based support and for the wait.

You are correct in saying that you cannot delete the payment that has been made on the Purchase Order once converted to the Bill. There is a process that is followed back end, therefore, it is gets a bit more complex. On saying that you can certainly can reverse the transaction and Suppliers deposits >> under the heading Deleting or reversing a deposit article will give you further insight into this.

Hope this will help and let us know how you go. Looking forward to hearing from you. Smiley Happy
