I am having trouble trying to Import Item Sales invoices.
I have tried importing both the same file that imported successfully in AR v19 & tried using an item invoice exported from my AR 2019.
Both give me an error 25 - Invalid amount.
What is error 25 specifically and is there an item sales invoice template available that I can use?
Thank you for the post!
In AR 201xxx this is caused by Microsoft Excel adding extra characters to the import file.
When you save Microsoft Excel as a text file (Tab Delimited or Comma Separated CSV), Microsoft Excel will automatically adds double-quote before and after data item, if the data (numerical value) includes a comma.
This will cause AccountRight Live to skip the fields and give an import error., as its expecting standard characters in these fields.
The quotation marks need to be removed before importing again.
There are multiple ways to achieve this, ideally just change the column format in Microsoft Excel, and save the file and import again.
To do this:
Identify the column causing the issue, then in Excel select the entire column, then right click the column header, and select Format Cells...
In Format Cells window, under the Number tab, select the Category: as Number like in the screenshot below.
When using File>Save As, you might get a a prompt like below, select Yes, as we want to keep the format.
If you open the import file in Notepad, you will now see the quotation marks have been removed.
Thank you for your answer.
I do not have any quotes in my import file.
I've attached the import file so you can see there are no quotes at all in the file and perhaps there is another issue?
Each line terminates with a carriage return and a line feed character.
Do you have another suggestions why I still get Error -25: Invalid amount. ?
Or if there is a an example template file I could emulate?

Thank you for the post!
As I mentioned earlier I would recommend entering the transactions manually export it out because if you do it manually you wont encounter that error. Provide steps to get to that error so that I can replicate it. Also do send me the screenshot of what values you have entered. From your text file I see there is lot of data missing, I have attached a sample file which I tried and had required data.
