Invoices Not Printing At Random

We have upgraded from our server based Premier Classic 19.15 to Account Right in the cloud, amongst a plethora of issues, we will have random invoices not print.

 

We invoice our customers as we speak to them on the phone (i.e. one invoice every minute or two) and print them straight away to record the transaction. We now have to print a sales register at the end of the day and manually tick off each transaction against our warehouse log to make sure they have all printed. We frequently have a run of 3-5 invoices or individual invoices that have not printed.

 

They are recording, but not printing.

 

And YES - we have checked the printer, the connection etc. We have a professional IT company that looks after all our needs, THIS IS NOT THE PROBLEM, everything else prints, scans etc. as it should.

I am sorry for the inconvenience. Could you provide more details on this issue? When you mentioned that the invoices are recorded but not printing, are you getting a error message or nothing happens?

Hi @JOLT 

 

I am guessing you are suffering from the long standing Out of Memory bug that many of us AR2019 user face.

The application has the Out of Memory error in the back ground, not shown to the user and as a result the invoice doesn't print.

 

You will need to close AR2019 and reopen it to be able to print again.

I get this issue on average 6 times a day.

Hi Andrew thanks for replying.

 

Just to clarify, we will raise invoices i.e. no. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 etc. and at the end of the day (we print dozens each day) we will notice that invoices 3, 4, 5 did not print. 

 

As in, it will not print a random (usually a run) of invoices but continue printing others after WITHOUT exiting and reentering the program.

I really can't be more specific than what I have already stated. 

 

Raise invoice, print. Raise invoice, print over and over and over.

 

Only to find random invoices, or groups haven't printed.

 

i.e. invoices numbers raised 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.

 

invoices numbers printed 1, 2, 6, 7, 9, 10.

 

All invoices missing from the printer are recorded and marked 'aready printed or saved'.

Hi @JOLT 

 

Most likely some of those invoices had been printed as a quote or as an order.

Whenyou change the order / quote to an invoice it doesn't reset the default setting as set against the card.

 

Stupid bug that MYOB refused to fix and I waste hours each week printing invoices that get missed.
