Thanks for the update. So I can investigate further can you please confirm the following:

  • Are you working on a local computer or a server ?
  • Do you have any antivirus softwares installed on your computer ?
  • Are you working on any other programs while AccountRight is open ?

    It is a local computer MYOB is on this one PC. However i am also connected to a server for our other business software

    Yes always do.

Thank you for confirming that. To troubleshoot, can you please uninstall and reinstall AccountRight. Once reinstalled AccountRight can you please have only AccountRight open and attempt to view a sales invoice. Does the program crash ?

Can you please provide further info on how i can uninstall and reinstall ? This is a bit beyond me.
Is this going to upset my files ?

Our article Uninstall AccountRight has instructions on how to do this, to reinstall the program you can download it via our downloads page. This will not affect any of your files as you are only uninstalling the program.

Over the last few weeks we have updated to 2020.3.1 version however it still keeps crashing. Today whilst creating a new customer entity the crash occured. 

I've attached the error log

Thanks for your post and error log. Can I please confirm how many times it has crashed ? To troubleshoot can you please clear your AccountRight cache and then re start your computer. Please do let me know if the error persists.

Since update it has crashed 3 times.

So today i cleared cache and restart PC.

Upon log in MYOB crashed again.

Today's error log attached.

 

Given we have updated to new version i'm surprised this is still happening ?

Looking at the error log I can see that the crash was caused by A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Can you please confirm if you're working on the server or the local computer ? 

 

If you're working on a local computer, can you please close down all background programs. When you've done this, can you please attempt to work on AccountRight. Does the same error appear ? If so can you please confirm what you're doing at the time when the error appears.
