Jobs and Purchase Order Numbers

Hi Guys, we do some "do & charge" jobs and we would like to know how to make sure that all purchase orders relating to a job number are included in the job costing when invoiced.

The purchase orders don't seem to be linked to the job numbers until the invoice comes in. So if our invoice is sent out before we recive an invoice for materials relating to that job they can be easily missed.

Is there a report showing all purchase orders for a chosen job number?

Re: Jobs and Purchase Order Numbers

Hi @Simon_M

Probably the only report to run to show Jobs on PO's would be the Purchases [Supplier Detail] Report. Please open it, and click on "Insert/Modify", then click on Show/Hide Columns, find Job No. in the list of available columns and hit "Show >" to add this column to the report. Then back on the Filters screen, click on Purchase Status and change the status to Orders, and it will bring up all orders. Unfortunately this will group by customer, and we cant group by Job. So if you need to, export the report to excel and sort/filter by Job No. there.

If you need any further help at all, please don't hesitate to ask.

Kind Regards,
