Once you have downloaded the file you MUST change the file extension.  It has a .doc extension - DELETE the .doc and the file will run.  Close your MYOB program before running the update.

Re: MYOB AccountRight 2020.2 - Can't open "Receive payment"

Hi @GerardMH @MelCoss @QuikShade @ATA1989 @slmann

We have released an update version, 2020.2.1 which will resolve this issue.

You will need to uninstall the current version, download 2020.2 from your my.myob account and then reinstall.

Once installed you can check that you have the latest version by opening AccountRight and going to Help>>About MYOB AccountRight>>Build.

We do apologise for the inconvenience caused by this.

Please let me know if you are still having problems.

Cheers,
Tracey

Re: MYOB AccountRight 2020.2 - Can't open "Receive payment"

Why is it with every MYOB update, something else is broken? I would be changing software if our accountants would azllow it. It's ridiculous!

Re: MYOB AccountRight 2020.2 - Can't open "Receive payment"

I am having the same problem since updating to 2020.2 this week.

Backup taken this morning.

  • Where the company file is stored: online
  • What are the LAST FOUR DIGITS of the serial number: 5084
  • What is the company file ID: 1

This is a terrible release!

Given the time of year, the worst time to be experiencing software problems!!!

Re: MYOB AccountRight 2020.2 - Can't open "Receive payment"

Hi @Dom

If you are encountering an error message when attempting to open the Receive Payments window in AccountRight 2020.2 we do recommend uninstalling your current version. Before reinstalling with fresh installers from your my.MYOB account.

AccountRight 2020.2.1 (named AccountRight 2020.2 in my.MYOB) will allow for that Receive Payment error to be removed and also correct another error to do with maximised windows not being retained (both encountered by users since the initial release of AccountRight 2020.2).

Kind regards,
Steven
