P&L report

We have recently upgraded to AccountRight Premier 2020. We did not roll over the year from 2020 to 2021. How can I get a P&L for July to December 2020 as our accountant does not want us to roll over yet?

Re: P&L report

Hi @Supersleuth

I would recommend taking a look at my post on P&L Report. Basically, in short, the Profit and Loss report is governed by the financial year and if you are a financial year behind or two you would need to close a financial year to roll into the correct year to produce that report.

If you are unable to close that financial year at this time you could use the following option:

  1. Backup the current company file - File>>Backup
  2. Restore that backup file locally - File>>Restore>>Restore into a library on my computer. Ensure that file does have a different name.
  3. Close the financial year in that restored file
  4. Produce the necessary reports

The other option is to access the online company file in the browser interface of AccountRight, would need to be on AccountRight 2021.1. The browser interface is governed by the financial year so you could get a Profit and Loss for future financial years if required.

Kind regards,
Steven
