PO's, budgets and stock

Hi Team, are AR PO's actively attached to the budget that are set against the GL-Accounts? So if in any given period a PO raised against a GL that takes it over the 'budget' it is somehow flagged (for cost control)?

TIA. Dan.

Re: PO's, budgets and stock

Hi @Dan_VidaNZ

Purchases that are created as an Order will not affect any accounts. By not affecting the accounts these transactions will not appear on the account reports. It is only when the purchase has been converted across to a bill that the accounts are impacted thus will appear on account-based reports.

In terms of budgets, you may have to actively consider when you are needing to convert those orders to bills, as that is the time the accounts are impacted so you may need to budget that accordingly.

Kind regards,
Steven
