Payment date for imported invoices

Help...

I am using Account Right Premier V19 and in the process of importing data from 1.7.12 to current into a new datafile.

It seems as though the importing of invoices into the new data file does not allocate the correct date of payment. The payment date imports as the invoice date, which throws out all your debtors and bank deposits for a particular month.

Can MYOB fix this and include as part of the data import a new column in the sales export to include a payment date field?

Re: Payment date for imported invoices

Hi Abacuschick,

The payment itself is not specifically attached to the invoice although you can enter an amount paid on the invoice directly.

If you're wanting the more accurate record of payments, you are able to import payments in using Import Data > Receipts > Receive Payments. Inside here you can import a file where you have nominated the invoice number and the payment date (labelled as 'Receipt Date') among other data fields.

The one downside to this method is that the template created will have to be done from scratch - you are not able to export out 'Receive Payments'.
