I have looked at the settings but cannot see where this could be changed but I'm wondering if it is possible to manually change the wording of a sales type? ie. rather than Sales options being Quote / Order / Invoice, I would prefer them to be Quote / Proforma Invoice / Invoice?

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum, I hope you find plenty of useful information.
This can easierly be achieved by using the Customise Forms.
Open up the SETUP on the Menu bar then down to Customise Forms.
Open the Purchase Orders and the type you want.
The filed that has Purchase Type needs to be deleted and a Text Box with the word Proforma Invoice added.
The and this is VERY important click on SAVE AS not just save and give it a name such as proforma invoice.
This will create a new template and leave to original in place.
Now just make sure you use this new template when sending out your proforma invoices.
Have a read of the MYOB SUPPORT NOTE on Saving a Personalised form.

Thank you very much for your help.
Your reply referred to Purchase Orders whereas I was looking to change the wording on Sales Orders but you pointed me in the right direction - and I'm very grateful!
Kind regards,
Leanne
