Removing backordered items

I have accidentally made an item on an invoice "backorder". I don't know how to get rid of this. I have tried deleting the item on the invoice, saving, re-opening the invoice and adding the item again but it still shows when I print it. How can I get rid of the "Backordered" item on the invoice?

Hi @Country_Cuisine,

 

Welcome back to the forum and I hope you find this a valuable resource.

 

From the Setup>>Preferences>>Security>>Untick "Transactions CAN"T be Changed; They Must be Reversed" option. Locate the backorder that has been accidentally created from Sales register>>All Sales/Orders. Click on the arrow to open the backorder>>right click your mouse to delete the backorder or Edit menu>>Delete Sale.
