Sales/Purchases: Allow reviewing of transactions with inactive jobs

When we open an existing invoice to view on screen to check details, usually we can just click "cancel" to close without saving changes. However, when the job numbers have since been made inactive, it doesn't allow us to cancel anymore. We need to change the cancelled numbers to active job numbers, then select cancel.

Clicking on "ok" isn't an option due to locked periods.

Re: Allow to select "cancel" when viewing existing sales and purchase invoices even if job number now inactive - Status changed to: Already in product

Hi Everyone

In AccountRight 2017.1, the user can review old sales (or purchase) with inactive jobs attached to them. The user would be able to select Ok to update the transaction or Cancel as required.

The only time that you will encounter a message saying there will be an inactive job would be if you attempted to change the job on the transaction by using the Job drop-down arrow or manually overtyping the job number. As the original job will not appear in the list of jobs, as it's inactive, that selection is now invalid and a new job needs to be selected. Tabbing through the fields will not require the user to select a new job.

Kind regards,
Steven
