Good Afternoon,
We currently have so many job codes on the system, I haven’t been able to delete them. Is there any way to reduce them or at least to take them out of the job code list, so when I am looking for a job code I will be able to find it much easier. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Columba
When you try to delete a Job, does MYOB crash or time out? If times out, you could try time out extender.
If it crashes this usually indicates you have too many Jobs in your MYOB file. I know a MYOB specialist who can delete Jobs in bulk based in a list provided. There would be a fee. Send me a private message if interested in contact details.

Good Morning,
Thanks for your reply. When I clicked to delete the job code, it says: Deleting this job will remove all of its allocations from your transaction file. Therefore, I have left them all there. Thanks

Hi @Columba
If you have transactions part of which have been allocated to a say Job X1, and you delete Job X1, the allocation to Job X1 will also be deleted. The transaction itself will not be affected, simply the reference to Job X1 will be removed. You can't delete the Job and expect the references to the job to remain in the file. This is normal behavior. Click OK to delete the Job and all references to it. If you need those Job references, then you can't delete the Job.

Gavin
