Sub Total to not include GST on customsie forms

Good Morning, We are new to the MYOB and are having problems with customising our quotation/Invoice form

In the bulk of the quote/invoice we are able to have the total on the right side (excluding GST) but on the bottom of the quote in the Sub Total field - it includes the GST where we would like it be shown as not including the GST - I have tried for hours to fix it and I'm sure its an easy fix but for some reason I just can't twig it right - Could someone please talk me through on this - I have a few quotes needing to go out this morning - Thanking you in advanced :-)

Re: Sub Total to not include GST on customsie forms

Hi @JNRCivil

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum, I hope you find it a wealth of knowledge

There are a few different subtotal fields that you can add onto the customise form i.e.

  • ExSubtotal - which is the subtotal value excluding tax
  • ExSubtotal + Freight - which includes the freight value in the subtotal
  • IncSubtotal - which is the subtotal including tax.

In your case you want to show the Subtotal value not including tax on your customise form, so you would be looking at needing to add in the ExSubtotal field onto that form. This can be done via Setup>>Customise Forms>>Selecting Invoices>>Selecting the layout and form before selecting Customise. This will bring up the Customise forms window, to which you would go into the Customise tab>>Fields option in the Insert Section, you would then scroll through the list of fields to find ExSubtotal. You can then select to add that field onto the form and moved into the required position before selecting to save the form.

For more information into adding fields to a customise form please see Help Article: Add text and fields to forms

Do let us know how you get on and if you require further assistance.

Kind regards,
Steven
