approving bank feeds takes along time

Approving bank feeds is taking for ever and eventually timing out.

Hi @FMIG

 

To narrow down what might be the cause:

  • Does this happen on every Bank Feed transaction that needs to be approved?
  • Does this happen if we only approve 1 Bank Feed transaction?
  • When did this issue start happening?
  • Are you working online?

 

If we get those answers we can start looking into possible causes and start giving some things to try.

Hi Hayden,

 

I normal click Approve All button and let program do the rest. It is taking ages approving all and even approving only one transaction. Eventually i get a timeout warning message and the system retries approving. After many retries another message comes up saying too many retires and it closes the bank fees window.

 

This has happend many times and I am working on a local company file.

 

Please provide with a solution.

Hi @FMIG

 

As you haven't specified otherwise, I'm going to assume that this always happens.

 

Being on a Local File should have a much faster operation than if we were working online, and I wouldn't specifically focus on the type of environment it's sitting on.

 

I have sent you a Private Message with instructions that can extend the Timeout Period. This can increase the time in which the Timeout message pops up (This doesn't increase the time it takes to approve, only how long before it times out). 

 

This might help you in this case, you can check your Private Messages by clicking onto your Avatar in the top right and clicking the envelope.

 

Alternatively, I'd also be checking if there is any other software interfering with this. As any scanning can make operations take longer and cause some of them to Timeout. I'd be looking at this support note: Speed and performance tips
