bank reconciliation - out of balance

Hi,

I do bank reconciliation every month and I am doing it for June 2019 and noticed these two transactions from Dec and Jan (which have been reconciled already back in those months ) are now sitting in my current reconcilation. I remember those transactions were recorded under incorrect card so I changed it to a correct card but not changed the amount.  Now i am out of balance because of these 2 transactions sitting on my current reconcilation. All transactions for June match up as to what is on the bank statement without these two old transactions.

Any advice, solution or help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Re: bank reconciliation - out of balance

Hi @Fabulous_WM

Did you make the changes after your last reconciliation ie 31 May? If so, it looks like they have been unreconciled due to the changes. You can check if they have been unreconciled by having a look at the bank rec report for those months. If those transactions are no longer reconciled your bank rec reports won’t balance anymore and you’ll need to undo bank recs back to dec and re-do.

Cheers

Tracey

Re: bank reconciliation - out of balance

Hi Tracey

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I made changes after last reconciliation so I did undo reconciliation as you advised.

Again, thanks for your help!
