new job numbers

new job numbers

While entering a new invoice and a new job number is needed, after 'ok' on the new job screen it takes you back to complete the invoice but i have to then re-enter the job number again. It should appear on the screen as i have just added it as  new job.

Hi @Qfinance

 

It doesn't. With MYOB when you are adding anything new, whilst creating a transaction, for example new account, new job, it will let you create the new job, but you will need to re-enter this when taken back to the transaction.

Hi there @Qfinance,

 

Welcome to the Community Forum. We do hope you find it a valuable resource for getting the most out of your software.

 

As @JeffreyTodd has very helpfully noted, and as you yourself have found, the software does not automatically populate the newly created job into the Job field upon creation. However, we do understand that this may be frustrating for certain clients who may often be in a position wherein they have to create new jobs whilst entering in sales transactions.

 

If this is something you would like to see in implemented in the software, we do encourage you to post the idea on our AccountRight Ideas Exchange. As our product development team use the board for features to incorporate into future releases, this is a fantastic way for our clients to chip in, and make their voices heard. Please note that priority is given based on popularity as deemed by votes and comments, and when an idea is set to be incorporated int othe software, the status will change accordingly.
