Re: "Items" Import - Successful Import, No Errors but most Data is not pulling through from txt file to Myob

Hi Samara, I have tried everything; auto matching all items, selecting only some, importing only 50 items at a time instead of the huge list ..... doesn't matter.  Will not pull through the updates.  And when I ring through and finally get someone on the phone, it gets escalated to an expert in that area to call me back.  For some reason every time they call me back it goes straight to voicemail and I cannot answer MYOB calls.  So 2 days pass and they then close the case .... very frustrating.  I need to speak to an expert in Export/Import, how do I do it?   I cannot get this resolved, can I call at a specific time to get through to someone on this.  Call backs do not work for some reason even if I sit looking at my phone waiting for the call ... the calls go straight to my voicemail without allowing me to answer.  Can you please help, as I need to get this fixed .....

I really need to speak to someone on the phone live time, where we can do it together, and they can see what I mean .... I've done this through the normal help number but the staff cannot solve and then pass it on to experts to call me back, but I can never get their calls, always goes to voicemail, then they close the case.  Are experts working this week ?

Hi @SilvanaFCC

I have raised this to be investigated by our product specialist team. In the meantime, updating price levels for cards to Price Level A-F will still work as intended.

Re: "Items" Import - Successful Import, No Errors but most Data is not pulling through from txt file to Myob

Hi Samara,

Updating to price level A or higher will not work for me.  They are the wrong prices, I need to change all of them to 'Base Price' Level, so this is no solution.   I have since been told by other users that this is a 'bug' within MYOB which is already known about, but I have wasted hours upon hours on this with MYOB staff who obviously do not know this cannot be solved.   I have 1,430 stock items - if I have to manually check each item individually it will take a huge amount of time, for something that MYOB should be able to fix within a half hour work.

Import-Export is turning out to be so frustrating, and useless to our needs.  I wish to formally lodge a complaint for the hours of time wasting on this when it turns out MYOB cannot even do this simple function.  I want compensation on my subscription fees.

In addition I now have to start import/export on customer cards to make some changes, and note there appears to be no way to export only 'active' customers.  We have 2,800 customers but it keeps exporting over 3,800 which includes all our inactive customers, and this then creates some errors/warnings when re-importing.  How can I export ONLY the ACTIVE customers ?   Is this another MYOB glitch ?

And the 'Invoice Reminders' window still does not appear in the desktop MYOB even though I was told that would be fixed months ago.  It is a pain to now have to go to the Web Browser MYOB to access this simple function.  Why did MYOB remove it and not put it back ?

All in all I am very disappointed with MYOB, even though I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years now.  Fees keep increasing, but service and functionality keeps decreasing .....  A credit/refund on my fees is in order.  Please escalate, thanks Silvana.

Hi @SilvanaFCC

If you would like to provide further feedback you are welcome to do so via the Feedback & Complaints channel on the Contact us page on our website.

When you export the cards, if you have the field "Card Status", that will show if the card is active or inactive, and you can use that to remove the inactive cards when editing the file to import.

To get to the invoice reminders on the desktop version go to Invoice Reminders under the Sales tab.

I have had a similar issue and I've called MYOB Support 3 times without any success in solving it.  MYOB is becoming a joke, they won't admit, nor fix issues they are having with their product, instead they act dumb pretending you are the first person to have this problem.  It's time for me to look elsewhere unless they can start acknowleding issues with their program and fixing them!

Hi all, is this bug limited to just Item imports, or are there other imports failing as well? I am about to create a large set of invoices for import - it would be handy to know if I'm wasting my time.

What I've seen is that this is longstanding and unresolved....my view is that you're wasting your time.

(Unless another user can confirm that MyOb has corrected the functionality-and that importing files can now take place as design/expected).

They certainly haven't fixed the Item import issue .. I've run into exactly the same problem as OP, Custom Fields are not updating

Sorry mate-it appears they're either turning a blind eye to the issue or working on a major update because there is no response to many user calls to assist/provide a work around.

...otherwise it's a good system.
