Annual leave

If my worker only works a 40 week year and not 52 week year (working at a school, getting 2 weeks unpaid leave every 10 weeks) but is entitlted to 4 weeks annual leave pay, is the calculation still the same for annual leave accrual or do you have to adust the calculation to allow for 40 week year?

Re: Annual leave

Hi @Tuckshop35

Annual leave entitlement percentage is calculated by: Total yearly entitlement divided by Total hours worked per year multiplied by 100.

For example:

Total yearly entitlement = 38 hours per week x 4 weeks = 152

Total hours worked per year = 38 hours per week x 40 weeks = 1520

152/1520 x 100 = 10%

This help articles has a calculator that you can enter the amounts and the % will calculate for you - Calculating an entitlement percentage

Please let me know if you need further help.

Cheers,
Tracey
