Re: Custom report not appearing (related to user access, after 2022.10 upgrade)

I hope this doesnt mean that this new software behaviour is how things are going to stay?

Does your Specialist Team know of all the people affected by this change?

In my case, I believe to allow my custom job report, means allowing the user to access ALL account reports - which means they now have access to profit and loss, balance sheets, etc etc.... a definite no no for this situation.

I have the same issue. It was made a custom report as I do not want the user to have access to Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets etc. Why change something that isn't broken !!!!! I dare say MYOB will have a lot more complaints towards the end of month when other users probably go to access their reports and realise what has happened.

Hi Everyone

Our product specialist team have confirmed that in previous versions of AccountRight users could see all custom reports. In 2022.10 users need access to the function that the base report lives in to view those custom reports. This is to prevent users from seeing custom reports for functions they don't have access to.

Please let me know if you need further help.

Why is it that, as the Administrator with no restrictions I am only able to see one report.  Shouldn't the Administrator role be able to see everything.
And why would our sales manager with full sales permissions not be able to see her sales reports.

It doesn't really make sense.

Re: Custom report not appearing (related to user access, after 2022.10 upgrade)

I am also having the same issue.  We have girls doing timesheets for wages and we have a custom report called "Timesheets".  However they do not have access to Payroll and we do not want them to have access to Payroll, but we need them to be able to have access to this report to be printed to check that all timesheets have been processed correctly before processing wages.   And yes the girls access/privileges have not changed either.

Agree this issue only started after upgrading to 2022.10.  This needs to be changed back to how it was.

Can MYOB please change this back please ASAP.

Hi Tracey,

We have the same issue but I cannot find where to give other employees access to the custom reports I have set up.  I have tried giving access through the access area under 'Sales, reports, sales' but no luck.  The reports they need access to is 'Sales (Customer Detail).    Thanks.

@Tracey_H

What's the outcome re this?

From your user community comments in this thread, it's obviously NOT appropriate to give some users permissions to all reports in a certain command centre.

The previous way to handle this was to create a custom report, and allow the user access to Custom Reports.

If you want to change your permission behaviour, I think you need to allow us the ability to control access to individual reports under each command centre. Can that be orgnanised ASAP?

(Or revert back to the previous permission setup).

Re: Custom report not appearing (related to user access, after 2022.10 upgrade)

Hi Everyone

Thanks for your feedback

At this time, we don't have any additional information we can supply in relation to granting access to custom reports when you don't have that level of access.  However, as has been outlined, currently in the AccountRight 2022.10 product range for a user that needs to access a custom report that user would need to have access to the originating base report. For example, if the user needs access to a custom Customer-- Sales [Customer Summary] report they would need access to the Sales section in the Index to Reports. You can review a user's level of access through the Setup>>User Access window.

Kind regards,
Steven

As I said in my earlier post that has not been addressed if that is the case why have I lost access to all of the custom reports except one when I am assigned the administrator role.  I should be able to see everything if it works the way you say.  And why has my sales manager lost access to all of her sales custom reports when she is assigned the full sales role.

What you are saying is not what has happened.  We have lost all of our custom reports except the aged payables.

Re: Custom report not appearing (related to user access, after 2022.10 upgrade)

Thank you for your Post we are facing the same issues, hence voicing our dislike to this update like many others have.

In particlar the Administrator should have access to all reports.  Also the office person should have access to custom sales / purchasing custom reports however this is no longer the case, why?

this is causing a lot of frustration and loss of valuable time & information, please rectify this issue urgently and perhaps in the meantime you can let us know how we can obtain the information, even if it is just the Administrators that are been given access across the board.  Happy to provide more information if required.

thank you for your help MYOB Team.

thank you.
