EOFY Payroll With Salary Sacrificing the JobKeeper

A staff member is Salary Sacrificing the JobKeeper Topup amount they are receiving.

In their Year End STP Report it shows the JobKeeper Amount in the RESC (Salary Sacrifice Super) section as well as the Other Allowances for the JobKeeper Topup Amounts.  Isn't this doubling up reporting to the ATO?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: EOFY Payroll With Salary Sacrificing the JobKeeper

Hi @Bel_

Thanks for your post. The ATO have advised that any topup amounts are to be reported as JOBKEEPER-TOPUP under Allowance - Other, not included in gross wages. As such,  you have the correct set up from an MYOB payroll software point of view.

If you are concerned about the tax implications for this I do recommend checking with the ATO.
