Same problem here.   MYOB this should not be an issue.  We all pay a lot of money for your service.  This is a basic requirement.  Account's people are busy enough without encountering problems like this and wasting more of our time.

Re: Entitlement Balance Rollover to new pay year 2020/2021

Hi Everyone

For clients that are encountering a negative value leave prompt with processing their first pays in the new payroll year, we do recommend checking out  Leave entitlement warning message when processing pays in AccountRight 2020.2 for more information.

Kind regards,
Steven

Re: Entitlement Balance Rollover to new pay year 2020/2021

I finally processed today's payroll as normal, ignoring the error message. Eventually the entitlement's closing balance looks correct.

However, there is still a problem:

My Entitlement's Opening Balance (Balance Adjustment) is actually the Closing Balance of FY2018.

The "Carry Over" is the total Net Balance of FY19 and FY20.

The "Year-to-Date" is the entitlement's net balance of today's payroll.

How to fix so my Entitlement's Opening Balance is the Closing Balance of FY2020 Entitlements ?

Re: Payroll entitlement issues

Our RDO's can not be rolled over.  What do we need to do.

Re: Entitlement Balance Rollover to new pay year 2020/2021

Hi Steven,  our RDOs have not carried over.  Haven't had this problem before.  It wont allow me to tick the carry over balance or manually adjust.  Please advise what I need to do.  Thanks

Re: Entitlement Balance Rollover to new pay year 2020/2021

Personal leave didn't carry over from last year

Now the carry over box is not ticked and can't be changed in category set up (WTF)

Can't adjust balance, it just won't let me (eye roll)

Even set up a new category to carry over in the future and it wont let me adjust either

Bloody Hell MYOB I can't say I'm a fan today (again)

Re: Entitlement Balance Rollover to new pay year 2020/2021

We proceeded with an AL payment before an ordinary pay, and get righ to RECORD - and then it doesn't record the pay. We have also tried an ordinary pay with the same result.

Do we have to finalise 19-20 first? Because there are problems wiht the Payroll Reporting Centre and I don't want to finalise yet.

Re: Entitlement Balance Rollover to new pay year 2020/2021

Exactly the same happend to us.

Entitlement's Opening Balance (Balance Adjustment) is the Closing Balance of FY2018.

The "Carry Over" is the total Net Balance of FY19 and FY20.

The "Year-to-Date" is the entitlement's net balance of today's payroll.

Please advise how to reolve.

Re: Entitlement Balance Rollover to new pay year 2020/2021

I finally got onto MYOB to double check correct procedure, and was told to just do the pay as normal, ignoring the problem.  I did that and kept her on the phone while I cross checked all figures after processing the pay.

Our staffer had sick leave and annual leave this pay run, and when I printed out the Payroll Advice, it is perfectly correct.  The YTD balances are last week's balance, less the hours taken, plus the weekly accrual amount.  Spot on correct.  Hope that helps anyone waiting for an hour on hold to MYOB ......
